AVON LAKE, Ohio - Avon Lake city and school officials are getting ready for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.To celebrate, the city is planning an event at Avon Lake High School Memorial Stadium. You must buy a ticket to attend.The parking lot will open at 10 a.m.
and there will be music and vendors. The eclipse is scheduled to begin at 1:59 p.m. and totality is scheduled to be from 3:13 p.m. to 3:17 p.m.The city is also selling parking and camping spots for RV’s and other large vehicles. Spaces are available at Weiss Field and Miller Road Park.
