Officers completed the check of the school, ALPD said, and “no threats were found.”
AVON LAKE, Ohio - The Avon Lake Police Department confirmed Avon Lake High School was placed on a “soft” lockdown due to a suspicious phone call.
Standard protocol in response to the nature of the call led to the school being placed on lockdown, according to ALPD.ALPD confirmed that there was “no credibility to the threat that was made.”The lockdown has been lifted and the school day will resume as normal, according to ALPD.
