The series sees Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine negotiating early contact with the alien race and attempting to found a school for young Na'vi.

Grace discovered that pollutants released by human technology were leaching into Pandora's ecosystem, using up essential nutrients throughout the food chain.
