New U.S. studies found that automatic emergency braking technology is able to cut the number of rear-end automobile crashes in half and also reduces pickup crashes.

Cars.com CEO Alex Vetter discusses how rising interest rates are impacting car loan demand and the electric vehicle market on 'The Claman Countdown.'In addition, it can reduce pickup truck crashes by more than 40%.

The research, conducted by a government-auto industry partnership and the insurance industry, used crash data to reach these conclusions.
