"This event is shaping up to be on the order of some of our bigger events that we see in the city," Snipes said. "Think about, you know, maybe a South by Southwest or F1 type of event.""This is a lifetime event for a lot of folks," Snipes said. "And you know, they haven't had a chance to see an eclipse like this.""We're prepared in that we have a lot of experience with these types of events, or the size of these events," Snipes said.
"Be prepared for other impacts like fuel," Snipes said. "Make sure you've taken time to do things that you need to do so that you don't have to compete out on the roads with other folks that are coming to our area for this event."
