An assistant professor at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine was arrested earlier this month in Lee County.
Mishra is an assistant professor at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the staff in 2017.
According to charging documents, Mishra on May 23 was in possession of images of a child under the age of 17 engaged in sexual acts or nudity.“We are aware of the allegations against and arrest of Amarjit Mishra. He has been placed on administrative leave and is not on campus. Mishra will remain on leave while the University evaluates this matter.”
