With the NFL’s 2024 season set to kick off on Thursday night, Auburn has 23 former players on the active rosters of the league’s 32 teams.Practice-squad members can play in regular-season games. Each NFL team can elevate two players from its practice squad to active status for each game. Two other former Auburn players are starting the season on injured reserve, giving the program 38 players on current NFL rosters.No NFL team has more than two former Auburn players on its 53-man active roster.
The Auburn players on NFL rosters include nine defensive backs, eight defensive linemen, six linebackers, four offensive linemen, three quarterbacks, three wide receivers, two running backs, one kicker, one long snapper and one tight end.
