On Saturday, the national average for a gallon of regular gas surpassed $5, by a fraction of a penny, according to the AAA auto club. The 10-year yield was also up, but not quite as dramatically as the two-year yield. It rose to 3.19% as of early Monday, up from 3.15% Friday and 3.04% on Thursday. That’s its highest level since 2018.
