Australia's business activity fell to a 21-month low in October, according to flash estimates from S & P Global. The country's composite purchasing manager's index stood at 47.3, down from 51.5 in the month before.
Manufacturing PMI came in at 48.0, a six month low, while services PMI was at 47.6, a 10-month low. S & P Global wrote 'output was reduced amid lower new orders and a drop in confidence in the outlook, while cost pressures remained elevated.' — Lim Hui Jie
