As the Israel-Hamas war plays out thousands of miles away, there is a growing threat here at home.
The Anti-Defamation League recorded at least 312 incidents of vandalism harassment and assault directed at Jews between October 7 and 23, a 400% increase from the same period last year.
"There has been a doubling down on the hatred that we know motivates these types of violence in the United States at rallies, at institutions online," Segal said. "This doubling down on antisemitism after one of the worst acts of antisemitism in modern history is making the community feel shook and concerned."
"We're definitely seeing a rise in American Jewish people purchasing a firearm and wanting to get training," David Kowalsky, owner of the Hollywood Carry gun store in Florida said.
