The robbery spree began about 10:30 p.m. in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood in the 2300 block of West Thomas Street.
A group of thieves traveling in a white KIA sedan robbed several pedestrians overnight on the city’s north and northwest sides overnight Monday, Chicago police said. A 29-year-old man was walking when a white sedan approached and four young males got out, two with rifles and two brandishing handguns. They demanded the victim’s property before fleeing the scene, police said.
m., a security officer was entering a building when she was robbed in the 1500 block of West Warren Boulevard in the West Loop neighborhood. The robbers approached the woman with rifles and handguns, and one of the robbers hit the victim in the face, causing bruising, police said. The robbers fled the scene, and the victim refused medical help. The last reported robbery happened shortly after midnight in the 1700 block of West Armitage Avenue.
