While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro continue to look less like upgrades and more like minor revisions on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, the iPhone 16 family is set to make significant changes, with screen dimensions expected to jump nearly ten percent, to 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches. And the reason why? The camera is getting a significant upgrade in terms of the periscope lens and a much larger sensor for the primary camera.
“Where is Apple finding the space for the larger sensors? According to multiple leaks, both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will increase in size, jumping from 6.1 and 6.7-inches to 6.3 and 6.9-inches, respectively, allowing Apple to fit a periscope lens in both models. "Of course, the Apple headset will include two of those panels to create the virtual reality effect. The headset is also expected to be state-of-the-art in terms of what a consumer headset can offer. For that reason, Apple’s headset is widely expected to cost around $3000. That compares to the $349 to $999 price tag Meta puts on its Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets."Apple is also expected to update the Mac hardware at WWDC.
