Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Funko! Pops tease the Marvel Cinematic Universe's MODOK design. The Ant-Man film series in the MCU has always been the go-to for comedic relief from the more heavy, dramatic films. However, with the upcoming third entry, the characters of Scott Lang , Hope Van Dyne and their family will soon find themselves being confronted by the next major villain with Kang the Conquerer .
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The Twitter fan page, Marvel News, managed to snap a few images of Funko Pop's upcoming figurines to promote Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and among them just so happened to be the character MODOK. Not only does this further confirm the character's appearance, it also finally gives a better look as to the MCU design of the iconic villain.
While fans will no doubt be eager to see him on screen, the question remains as to what his purpose within the overall story of the movie will be. The plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania revolves around Lang's family finding themselves in the Quantum Realm and interacting with the inner space inhabitants. It's possible that the film will re-imagine the character as being a robotic program that serves the people of the Quantum Realm, or possibly Kang himself.
Marvel has a reputation for being secretive about plot points and MODOK's importance is no exception. While it is great to finally have a concept of what his appearance will be like, much of the excitement comes from not knowing when he comes into the film or what his plans will be. With fans and audiences more focused on Kang, this will allow for MODOK's introduction to still be surprising.
