And so you would think going in here and getting a tie is not a terrible result, but it sucks. We had it. We were up two different times in the game.
ACFC’s second Cup game will be the final one against OL Reign . The game will be played at Lumen Field. The teams will meet in the regular season.. However, the Thorns equalized in the seventh minute of added time thanks to a backheel goal from goalkeeper Bella Bixby off a corner kick.“I’m disappointed with the final result, but really happy with the way we were able to come back into the game, especially when down 2-1,” ACFC coach Freya Coombe said Saturday.
Angel City will likely field a rotated lineup against the Reign, considering league play resumes Sunday at home against the Kansas City Current.
