People who prefer to vote in person for Anchorage’s April 2 municipal election can now do so at three vote centers within the municipality.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -
For the first time in a municipal election, the vote centers will also feature secure, ADA-accessible voting machines. The machines, which anyone can use, have touchscreens as well as other features for the visually impaired and people who experience physical limitations. Instead, the completed ballots are printed out, placed in a ballot return envelope and dropped into a ballot box.
Northrop reminds voters that replacement ballots can be obtained at any Anchorage Vote Center up through April 2, election day, but the deadline is approaching for people who wish to request a new ballot by mail.
