A heavy police response is underway in a Midtown neighborhood as a suspect refuses to leave their residence, according to the Anchorage Police Department.

FastCast morning digital headlines for Wednesday, March 13, 2024.ANCHORAGE, Alaska - An arrest was made in a Midtown neighborhood on Wednesday and police have left the neighborhood, according to the Anchorage Police Department.

According to APD, police responded to the south end of Williams Street, tucked away in a neighborhood near 36th Avenue and Lake Otis Parkway, after a suspect refused to leave their residence. In a video of the incident, a half dozen police cars crowd the southern end of Williams Street, and one officer appears to relay a message over a loudspeaker: “You don’t want to air your vengence out like this.”The Anchorage Police Department is attempting to remove a suspect from a Midtown home.
