“This is all very fresh and I’ll be tracking it closely, and I’m very concerned about the staffing at APD — and that will be my focus, to ensure that APD’s staffed up and we’ll be watching this situation closely,” LaFrance said Tuesday. “I don’t want her to be set up,” Hodge Growden said. “I don’t want her to get this position and it be short-lived because of a transition in case there’s a new mayor. I’m just wondering why this couldn’t have happened months ago.”
