Hundreds of people gathered at Dimond High School for the Alaska Chinese Association’s first in-person Chinese New Year since January 2020. Alaska Chinese Association president Samson Ning said more than 600 tickets were sold and they expected 700-800 people this year. Ning said. “I hope next year will be a peaceful year and we’ll be over this pandemic and get on with our lives.”Alaska Chinese Association president Samson Ning welcomed people in the audience during the Chinese New Year Festival at Dimond High School on Sunday.
