The invasion has produced a mix of expected and unexpected developments , leaving little room for confidence about what will happen next. But what have we learned so far? CNN posed a few key questions to Henry Hale, a George Washington University professor whose expertise includes Russian politics. Our conversation, lightly edited for flow and brevity, is below.
