A rainy weekend may be experienced in the Philippines as the northeast monsoon (Amihan) and localized thunderstorms continue to affect several parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Friday.
In its 24-hour public forecast, PAGASA reported that localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan which may cause flash floods or landslides.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains, meanwhile, may prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the Amihan. No significant impact is expected in the affected areas. PAGASA said forecast winds in Luzon and Visayas will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds will blow in Mindanao, to be accompanied by slight to moderate waters.—Sundy Locus/AOL, GMA Integrated News
