After scowling through the Grammys, Ben Affleck lit up the SuperBowlLVII with a charming ad for Dunkin’ Donuts co-starring his wife, Jennifer Lopez.

The good vibes continued in the outtakes subsequently posted on YouTube, where Affleck engages in some fun and games with the good people of Massachusetts—and proves to be a gung ho, if not particularly skilled, Dunkin’ employee. “I’m not your typical Dunkin’ technician,” Affleck shares. “Usually they’re a lot smarter than me.”
Affleck’s outtakes begin with Boston’s favorite son preaching about the beauty of his homeland over the Dunkin’ loudspeaker. “Welcome to Medford, Massachusetts, Dunkin’. Scenic Medford: why travel when you’re already there? That’s our slogan,” he says in his best Boston drawl. The outpouring of love continued as he tells the first drive-thru customer that he can have whatever he wanted for free—that’s the kind of generosity Dunkin’ inspires in Affleck.
Affleck also has suggestions for his customers: “You could have that, but why not sweeten your life up a little bit?” he tells one after she requests a black tea with no sweetener. “What would you like, ma’am, joy or misery? You’re insisting on darkness. I’m trying to help you live your best life,” Affleck says as she pulls up to the window. “What the heck,” she exclaims. It’s unclear whether she ultimately let Affleck’s sweetener into her life.
