New businesses, from bars to cosmetic stores to restaurants, are opening around the metro area.

Almost a dozen new businesses recently announced moves or relocations into downtown Denver, its surrounding areas and Colorado Springs.moved its new office to Lower Downtown this month from its former location in the Central Business District, expanding its square footage from 6,000 square feet to 12,000.

Outside of the city’s downtown, Denver Tech Center will serve as the new home of public accounting firm . Headquartered in Colorado Springs, the firm will open its new 4,200-square-foot office in Greenwood Village this summer.
