The National Bureau of Investigation seized boxes containing suspected fake medicines inside a house in Lucena City, Quezon.According to John Consulta’s report on ''24 Oras Weekend'' on Saturday, authorities found medicines for fever, cough, cold, hypertension, and antibiotics.
“Kaya naman po kami ay nag-imbestiga at nag-resulta ng paga-apply ng search warrant sa natukoy naming suspect,” he added.According to the NBI, the suspect does not have a license to sell medicines and delivers them to small stores in various locations in the province.The NBI said the suspect will face charges for violations of the FDA Act of 2009, the Pharmacy Law, and the Special Law on Counterfeit Drugs. It also said the suspect could be jailed for up to 10 years.
