Whistleblower Jefferson Tumbado recants allegations against LTFRB Chief Guadiz III

It was over the weekend when news about allegations of corruption against Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board chairman and former Land Transportation Office chief, Teofilo Guadiz III surfaced.

Based on allegations, Guadiz and other government officials were selling transport routes and franchises for millions of pesos. The whistleblower, Jefferson Tumbado, is the LTFRB chairman's former executive assistant.

He further stated in his sworn affidavit that"things were just said out of impulse and irrational thinking, misjudgment, and poor decision making." The affidavit also serves as a form of public apology to Guadiz, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, and to The Office of the President. With Tumbado recanting his allegations against the suspended LTFRB Chief, does this mean the executive is off the hook? Or does he still have to explain to the DOTr about his supposed corruption allegations?AutoIndustriya.com is the leading automotive resource for the Philippines.
