The campaign of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo during the 2022 elections was "arranged by Chinese state security."This was the latest allegation raised against Guo by Wang Fu Gui , the friend and former cellmate of self-proclaimed Chinese spy in an Al Jazeera documentary, She Zhijiang . She Zhijiang claimed in the documentary that Guo is also an agent of the Chinese ministry of state security and once asked him for campaign funds.
"Of course there is a correlation, it has a lot to do with the Chinese government's exuberant intelligence … There's also the fact that all of this is totally connected to the Belt and Road, which is also just part of a huge united front and intelligence strategic plan for the whole world, including foreign colonization tactics," he said.
