Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is calling out Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell after the surfacing of a photo which shows a group of young men in “Team Mitch” T-shirts clutching and trying to kiss a cardboard cutout of her. The men’s caption reads, “Break me off a piece of that…”
On Monday, the freshman congresswoman tweeted at the Republican senator, who is recovering in Kentucky after breaking his shoulder in a fall over the weekend.
Amy McGrath, who is running against the 77-year-old in Kentucky, also took to Twitter on Monday to shame him after his campaign shared a photo featuring a mock cemetery, with one tombstone reading “RIP Amy McGrath.” The photo remains online.— Team Mitch August 3, 2019 According to McGrath, a retired Marine fighter pilot, the tombstone was “beyond the pale.”
