“As a survivor of physical sexual assault, it adds a level of dysregulation,” she continued. “It resurfaces trauma.” She argued the inability to forget visceral media like deepfake pornography is because of human biology. They want to teach us a lesson for being there, for existing: This is not your place, and because you’re here, we’re going to punish you,” the congresswoman said.
