Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman sends his dad a message during impeachment inquiry testimony impeachmenthearings

Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine expert for the National Security Council, told his father not to worry and that he would “be fine” as he delivered his opening remarks before Congress during the impeachment inquiry hearing Tuesday.

“Dad, my sitting here today in the U.S. Capitol talking to our elected professionals ... is proof that you made the right decision 40 years ago to leave the Soviet Union and come here to United States of America in search of a better life for our family,” Vindman said.Lt. On Tuesday, Vindman said that he is grateful for his father’s decision to leave the Soviet Union and forthe privilege of being an American, where can live “free of fear for mine and my family’s safety.” Story continuesVindman noted that his family is present during the hearing Tuesday, including his “little brother.” His twin brother Yevgeny is an ethics lawyer for the NSC.
