Alex Helfrecht's upcoming animated film 'A Winter's Journey' drops a first image.
Sony Pictures Classics picked up the rights in North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Scandinavia, Australia/New Zealand, Turkey, India, South Africa, Southeast Asia, Japan, Thailand, and global airlines to a rather unique new project.
COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY Jörg Tittel and Philip Munger produce the film at London-Based Oiffy alongside Sean Bobbitt and Hugh Welchman of Poland's BreakThru Films, Reinhard Brundig at Germany-based Pandora Film , Benoît Roland and his company Wrong Men North in Belgium, Raphaël Berdugo and Alexis Perrin in France, and Richard Mansell. Sebastien Barrillier and Yann Duboux are slated to executive produce.
"We’ve never quite seen a project like A Winter's Journey before, which promises to marry world-class cinema and extraordinary painting techniques with one of the great song cycles in musical history," added Sony Pictures Classics in their own statement. "Audiences will joyously embrace this unique theatrical experience."
