MANILA, Philippines — Alas Pilipinas Men head coach Angiolino Frigoni shared his observation during the Philippines' friendly match against Japan last Sept. 7 and 8, where Filipinos loudly cheered for team Japan . With the Philippines hosting the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championships next year, the Italian coach has a message for the Filipinos, and asked the Filipino fans to support the locals more. 'We played here in the Philippines and it's a very good atmosphere.

I don't like that the Filipinos start to be a little different, cheers for Filipinos please, they are more cheering for Japan than the Philippines,' he said after the FIVB drawing of lots at the Solaire Grand Ballroom on Saturday night, Sept. 14.'Please you are a Filipino, cheers for Filipino,' he said with conviction.
