Jason Craig, 38, of Orville, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after a chase from Dallas County into Perry County.

Police initially announced the end of the pursuit with a Facebook post that simply read: “We got him!” The investigation began Tuesday when Selma officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of North Lauderdale Street on a report of someone shot. They arrived to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.On Thursday, officers responded to a harassment call in the area of Old Montgomery Road, and quickly learned Craig was the reported offender.The chase exceeded speeds of 100 mph, police said. It ended when officers boxed in Craig’s vehicle.
