Alabama football stayed steady in the coaches poll after beating Tennessee.
The coaches poll is based on the votes of 66 FBS head coaches, including Alabama’s Nick Saban. Alabama’s highest ranking on any ballot this week was No. 3, and the lowest was No. 12.
The Associated Press media poll is scheduled to be updated at 1 p.m. and will likely show movement upward for the Tide. Alabama was ranked No. 11 in that poll last week. Alabama had a shaky first half to Saturday’s game against the Volunteers. Tennessee took a 20-6 lead to the locker room, a margin that could have been more had UT been able to capitalize on several opportunities early on.. A 29-yard run by Jase McClellan and a 46-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Isaiah Bond pulled Alabama within one score, and the comeback continued from there.
