The King William Fair announced Wednesday it will return to paper tickets for food and drink purchases, following complaints about the BlastPass wristband payment system used Saturday during Fiesta.
Attendees of Saturday’s King William Fair included many BlastPass users who experienced delays and technical difficulties with the cashless wristband form of payment. The fair announced Wednesday it will return to using paper tickets.wristband purchasing system at the Fiesta event.
“That is not what the Association wants. We look forward to re-establishing the King William Fair as one of the premier events of Fiesta San Antonio with the return to paper tickets.” Many complained of long lines to load the wristbands, booths unable to process purchases, lost credits that could not be shared and a $2 fee tacked on to purchasing credits for the device.
