THE Armed Forces of the Philippines has successfully conducted the resupply mission for troops deployed in BRP Sierra Madre off Ayungin Shoal, more than two weeks after it was suspended due to the harassment by China Coast Guard .
Aguilar said the condemnation of the Filipinos and the international community could have played a big factor that affected China’s behavior during the resumption of the resupply mission. “Aside from ensuring the well-being of our personnel manning BRP Sierra Madre, this feat also demonstrated to the whole world the Filipinos firm resolve to assert our sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the shoal which is within the country's maritime zones. The AFP will support the country's fulfillment of its obligations under existing international laws and conventions.
Brawner earlier said he bared China’s actions during the Chiefs of Defense Conference in Nadi, Fiji, which was attended by over 23 military leaders from the Indo-Pacific.
