ABOITIZ Equity Ventures Inc. said Tuesday it recorded consolidated net income of P18 billion in the first nine months of 2023, down 16 percent from P21.4 billion in the same period in 2022.

Net income in the third quarter registered a 21-percent decline to P7.6 billion from P9.6 billion a year earlier. Core net income in the third quarter was at P6.2 billion, down 12 percent year-on-year. Power subsidiary Aboitiz Power Corp.’s net income in the first nine months amounted to P26.7 billion, or 37 percent higher than P19.5 billion in the same period in 2022.“The company had an impressive performance in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in 2022, powered by our resilience, adaptability, and vision.

Energy sold went up by 21 percent to 26,493 gigawatt-hours in the nine-month period, compared to 21,892 GWh in the same period in 2022.
