Adidas has received backlash from the pro-Israel American Jewish Committee for having Bella Hadid as the face of a campaign. The ad campaign promotes a retro sneaker from the 1972 Summer Olympic Games, coinciding with the 52nd anniversary of the Munich Games.
The company announced it will be “revising” its latest ad, which featured the model in a “coveted classic” sneaker from the ’70s to honor the 52nd anniversary of the Munich Olympics .

“As a result we are revising the remainder of the campaign,” the brand concluded. “We believe in sport as a unifying force around the world and will continue our efforts to champion diversity and equality in everything we do.”The ad launched on Thursday, with photos showing the 27-year-old smiling as she held flowers and showed off her pink and red footwear.
