El fútbol alemán y Adidas se divorcian. Nike, el gigante estadounidense de la indumentaria deportiva, suministrará los nuevos uniformes y equipamiento de las selecciones nacionales de Alemania a partir de 2027, anunció el jueves la federación alemana de fútbol . El nuevo acuerdo se extenderá a 2034 y pone al histórico vínculo de Alemania con Adidas, el cual se remonta a unos 70 años.
Con indumentaria de Adidas, Alemania se consagró campeona del mundo en cuatro ocasiones y de Europa en otras tres. Por su parte, la selección femenina conquistó dos mundiales y ocho Eurocopas. Adi Dassler, el fundador de Adidas, estaba en el banquillo al lado del técnico Sepp Herberger cuando Alemania Occidental ganó su primer Mundial en 1954, luciendo los botines de su compañía. Dassler no inventó los botines con tacos, como muchos creen.
