PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. has started reviewing the performance of key officials that may eventually lead to a reshuffle of top positions.

PNP's Public Information chief, Col. Redrico Maranan, said Acorda wants to see the 'statistics of the accomplishments' of PNP commanders before making a decision on the possible movement.'As of now, there is no major reshuffle that is happening. He wants to see first the performance of field commanders. He said he's going to look at the numbers,' Maranan said in a radio interview on Sunday.

, effected a major reshuffle involving 80 generals and colonels just a week into his appointment in August last year. But Maranan said this may not happen in the case of Acorda, at least for now.Should there be organizational change, it will happen because several senior officials are soon to retire, Maranan said.'We need to fill up the vacancies that will be caused by these retirements.
