Abbott labs is recalling several brands of baby formula, including Similac, because they might have been improperly sealed, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

All products in the recall were manufactured at Abbott’s Columbus, Ohio, manufacturing facility. No other powdered or liquid formula brands were included in the recall. The company said a small percentage of formula bottles were affected by this recall and is not expected to impact the supply of infant formula throughout the U.S.
“These products are being recalled because a small percentage of bottles in the recalled lots have bottle caps that may not have sealed completely, which could result in spoilage. If spoiled product is consumed, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting may occur,” Abbott said in a statement.
