How old were you when you first played the game, and was it your first Pokemon game?So my mom actually bribed me to get my tonsils out with Pokemon Blue when I was like 5 years old. It was on the Game Boy Color, and that was the first one I played. It was cool, Pokemon Gold and Silver came out right around my birthday — I couldn’t tell you the year it was [Ed. note: It was 1999]. That’s still one of my favorite games.
SFGATE: What do you like to focus on when creating your Pokemon roster? Do you like to gut out low-level battles or train heavily?I’m overprepared for every battle I go into, usually. I’m a big-time trainer. All the new games have XP share built in, so you only need to use one guy and everyone gets experience, which I think is cheating, but you know, I’m not going to complain. It makes the game a whole lot easier.
