A 31-year-old Marion man was killed early Saturday after leading Marion police on a chase that ended when he careened off the side of a road and crashed.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle using both a siren and emergency lights, but the suspect operating the sedan fled the scene, prompting the officer to give chase, police said. The pursuit continued along Fairwood Avenue before the suspect driver headed west on Marion-Williamsport Road.
