Ninety Filipinos have already returned home from war-stricken Ukraine, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

This after 29 seafarers arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday night, March 9, bringing the total number of repatriated Filipino seafarers from Ukraine to 55.According to DFA, they exited Ukraine to evacuate to Moldova with the assistance of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Chisinau and the Philippine Embassy in Budapest. They then left for the Philippines from Bucharest, Romania.

On Tuesday, March 8, 21 seafarers, crew members of MV S-Breeze, also arrived in the country from Ukraine. They were the first group of seafarers to be repatriated from the war-hit country.
