Daily News | 9 people wounded in Philadelphia shootings, including a quadruple shooting in Frankford
Nine people were wounded in shootings on Friday in Philadelphia, including four people in one incident in the city’s Frankford section and a 6-year-old boy grazed by a stray bullet, police said.
A 32-year-old woman was shot several times in the neck and left arm. She was taken by police to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. A 39-year-old man shot in the face and several times in the body was also transported by police to the same hospital, and was also reported in critical condition.
Police said the vehicle matched the description of one taken in a carjacking on Aug. 5 on the 4300 block of Wingohocking Avenue. The boy was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where police said he was in stable condition. No one else was struck by gunfire before the gunman in the U-Haul drove away, police said.
