06 October,2023LAHORE - Two people lost their lives and 17 sustained injuries in traffic accidents in two cities of Punjab.
According to the details, two passenger buses collided with each other in Sheikhupura due to overspeeding. The horrible accident took place in Manawala, district Sheikhupura. A bus overturned in the accident which killed one passenger and injured 16. The rescue teams also reached the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
In another accident, a passenger bus hit the motorbike near Chini Goth in Liaqatpur. A 22-year-old lost his life on the spot while another teenager got injured the accident.The rescue teams shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital.

Afghan Sentry Opens Indiscriminate Fire: Two Pakistani Civilians Martyred, Child Injured At Chaman Border CrossingTwo Pakistani citizens including a 12-year old child embraced Martyrdom and another child injured in an unprovoked and indiscriminate firing by an afghan sentry employed at the friendship gate of Chaman Border Crossing. According to an ISPR statement, the firing incident took place at the outbound gate located on the zero line at 4:00 pm yesterday. The sentry opened fire at pedestrians moving from Pakistan to Afghanistan. The Pakistani troops exercised extreme restraint and avoided any exchange of fire in presence of innocent passengers to avoid collateral damage. Afghan authorities have been approached to inquire the reason of such irresponsible and reckless act, apprehend and hand over the culprit to Pakistani authorities. Pakistan remains committed to contribute towards peace, prosperity and development through positive and constructive bilateral relations, however such unpleasant occurrences have the potential to harm the sincere intent and purpose.
