Acting Afghan Interior Minister and Afghan Taliban top leader Sirajuddin Haqqani urged the United Nations and international organizations to de-escalate the ongoing tension in Gaza.
"We do not intend to interfere in anyone's internal affairs, but we are saddened by Israel's atrocities against Palestinians. We call on the United Nations and international organizations to end this injustice and aggression," Haqqani stated. "The oppression and violence that Israel is perpetrating in Yat Maqdis, and the silence of Muslims in these situations, deeply saddens us," he said. Haqqani further underlined the Afghan people's revolutionary spirit and their strong religious convictions, which compels them to stand against such injustices.
