A high-level meeting was held between caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar and the International Monitory Fund in Morocco.Shamshad Akhter expressed Pakistan’s determination to implement the promises for the economic prosperity of Pakistan.The Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan and finance secretary also attended the meeting.Shamshad Akhtar also met with the delegation of global rating agency Moody’s on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank in Morocco.
The Finance Minister reiterated the government's commitment to transparency in economic affairs and aimed at boosting investor confidence.The caretaker finance minister also met with the delegation of the international rating agency Standard & Poor's and promised to improve financial stability and fiscal governance
