Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said Pakistan has provided credible information related to terrorist activities from Afghan soil to the afghan government but the Afghan government has not taken any concrete steps against anti-Pakistan terrorists.
During his conversation with media representatives, Prime Minister said in the last 2 years, there has been an increase in terrorist activities from Afghan soil as more than 2 thousand Pakistanis were martyred due to cross-border terrorism in the last 2 years.Prime Minister said after the recent statements of Afghan leaders, the increase in terrorist incidents is meaningful. He said it is expected that the Afghan government will take action against elements involved in terrorism in Pakistan.
Prime Minister said in the absence of a positive response from the afghan government, it is enough for Pakistan to fix our own affairs. Prime Minister said Pakistan hosted lakhs of afghan refugees for 4 decades and now afghan citizens are voluntarily returning to their countries. Prime Minister said border authorities at all border crossings connected to Afghanistan are providing assistance to refugees in their return.He said Pakistan will continue Afghan transit trade for the convenience of Afghan people as no country has any kind of pressure on Pakistan.
Responding to a question on Israeli barbarity in Gaza, Prime Minister said the innocent people are being martyred in Gaza. There is serious concern about the situation in Gaza. A special meeting is being held in Saudi Arabia on the situation in Gaza.
