Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Al-Haq Kakar has said the preparations for the elections are complete, and the elections will be held on schedule. However, there are concerns about security for the elections, which are being addressed.
Speaking to a Web Channel, Prime Minister Anwaar Al-Haq Kakar said, the election commission of Pakistan has completed its preparations for the elections to a considerable extent, including constituency delimitation and other matters for holding elections in in January.
He expressed his hope that during the elections, there will be no incidents of terrorism, and the government, the Election Commission, and Security Agencies are working together to ensure security. He also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to counteract terrorism. Regarding Pakistan-India relations, he mentioned that the Kashmir issue and a lack of a positive mindset in India are hindering the improvement of relations. He expressed that there should be better relations between the two countries, but currently, there are no possibilities.
