Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Tuesday ordered the provincial health minister to dispatch teams to Peshawar to extend medical
help to the people injured during yesterday’s massive suicide blast in a mosque which claimed at least 88 lives, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In compliance with Chief Minister Naqvi’s directions, Punjab Health Minister Javed Akram contacted Lady Reading Hospital’s Dr Amir Khan and offered all kind of medical assistance. Dr Akram said that the Punjab government would provide medicines, blood and other medical facilities to the Peshawar blast injured.
A 13-member team under the leadership of Prof Kamran Khalid of Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital Burn Unit is leaving for Peshawar. The Burn Unit team would ensure best treatment to the wounded people.
