The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province and banned pillion riding in view of Muharram security, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The display of all types of weapons and incendiary materials in public places without the permission of competent authorities will be prohibited. Section 144 is imposed on remarks inciting inter-religious, communal, or racial hatred through any device. It is prohibited to collect stones, bricks, bottles, or garbage on the roofs of the buildings along the procession routes.
